Diving into Spirit Guides!
Already know about Spirit Guides and want to learn more, stick around! If you’ve never heard of a Spirit Guide before, strap in because we’re about to take a dive into Spirit Guides; What they are, who has them, and how to connect with them if you’re not an oddball like Liv who just thought everyone knew about their Spirit Guides and how to talk to them.
Spirit + Guide = ?
First of all, what is a Spirit Guide? If you put the meaning of the two words together, they insinuate that these things are simply spirits that guide. But they’re a tad more complex than that. Aside from mythology or religious beings, that a character may come across once in a story that guides the lost figure out of their perilous environment or a dead friend who revisits them “from the beyond” to provide a tidbit of insight, actual Spirit Guides do not usually leave you. Before you are born into your current physical being, your Spirit Guide is entrusted to guide you throughout your existence in the physical world. Each person in this world has at least one Spirit Guide. Try not to confuse Spirit Guides with Guardian Angles, although each have similar responsibilities, they are believed to be different in a few ways. Do I Have A Spirit Guide?
In short, yes. Everyone has at least one Spirit Guide, if not multiple. When a soul makes the decision to be put on Earth, a few things have to happen first, and a major step is assigning Spirit Guides. Spirit Guides are spiritual beings that are authorized to help guide you during your soul’s time learning from a physical life. Although it may seem that as your Spiritual Guide through this life that your guide may have the power to lead your life for you, that is not their purpose. If they were to control your existence, then what would you learn during your life? Everything would be handed to you. With that being said, make sure to remember that they are connected with you to guide you, not control you. Your Spirit Guides cannot interfere with your free will and the life’s path you make for yourself. A good modern comparison may be to think of your guide(s) as your therapist or best friend, a real homie for life. Well, this life at least.
Connecting with Your Spiritual Homie(s)
As Liv ( a medium) has recently learned from Em ( a normie), it is not common knowledge to be able to see and/or communicate with your Spirit Guide(s), so if you’re a normie like Em, here is how you can connect and communicate with your guide(s).
Obviously, you’re working with a spiritual being so nothing about them is “physically” there, but they can influence physical things. With that being said, the way you can try to establish a base of communication with your Spirit Guide(s) is by thinking to yourself or saying out loud how you want them to present themselves to you. Now, don’t go making some grand scheme, think small, think simple. For example, if you listen to Liv and Em’s Podcast or YouTube Episode, “How to Contact Your Spirit Guide: Meet Our Spirit Guides”, Em shares her recent spiritual awakening that she has gone through after she was able to connect with her Spirit Guides through establishing signs/symbols.
Signs and Symbols
Em saw a video on how to establish a symbol to be used by her Spirit Guides to answer her questions. She set her symbols as rainbows and bones and asked her Spirit Guides to show her rainbows and bones in order to prove that they were there with her. She had doubts about asking for bones as a symbol because of their usually gruesome nature, so she asked her guides to ixnay the bones. Well, don’t you know that soon after she was enjoying a sketch artist video of cartoon drawings, and what caught her eye? Yep, you guessed it, the character drawing had a rainbow incorporated in it, but here’s the kicker, the anime art also had cartoony bones added to it as well. Her guides had answered her and managed not to scare her. Almost as if saying, we’re not here to scare you, and we are listening, don’t be afraid.
Once Em had established a symbol to communicate with her guides, she was able to ask them simple “yes” or “no” questions and one of her guides even made themselves known to Liv in order to help Em.
So, if you want to communicate with your guide or guides try asking them to show themselves to you by establishing a simple sign for them to communicate with you through. Now let’s jump into Em and Liv’s Spirit Guides.
Liv’s Spirit Guides
The Blue Man Dude
Liv has three Spirit Guides total so far in her life, and the first one who has been with her since she was little is her “Blue Man Dude”. After Liv came to understand that she was a medium, her mother helped her to create a door in her mind to keep chatty spirits at bay. And one day Liv realized that standing in front of her mind’s door was a man, but no ordinary-looking fellow. He is a bald man with blue skin wearing a black turtleneck sweater. In Meta Psyckick’s YouTube video and podcast episode, Liv explains how her Blue Man Dude watches over her spiritual door and has always communicated with her strictly through facial expressions and gestures to reassure her in trying times. Since then he has continued to be her spiritual doorman and a pillar of emotional and spiritual support.
Zoinks! Mellow Dude
Next is Shaggy, and this Spirit Guide is a bit newer than Liv’s Blue Man Dude. Descriptive of his nickname, this spirit guide is described to have shoulder lengths dark brown hair, and wearing a linen button-down shirt, with tan, long pants frayed at the bottoms and sandals to boot. He also only communicates with Liv through gestures and facial expressions, but most notably provides soothing and calming emotions when Liv is stressed or lacks confidence.
The Red-Headed Woman
Finally, Liv’s last and most recent Spirit Guide looks exactly as she sounds. She has long and curly, bright red locks and wears a crimson velvet business vest. Since her realization with Liv, this Spirit Guide has stayed to the very back of her mind’s eyes and far away from her other guides but nonetheless, has had a large spirit (no pun intended). Liv describes this guide as a sort of tough-loving motherly character that has quite frankly intimated her. Giving off the impression of frustration to Liv during her first encounters, shaking her fist and scowling from afar. But, ever since Liv has embarked on the business venture of Meta Psyckick’s with Em, the Red-Headed Woman has joined front and center with Liv’s other two Spirit Guides and is cheering her on, doing a “mental” rough pat on the back, as if to say, “You’re finally doing what you’re capable of kid.” So, be sure to follow along and tune in to watch as the Red-Headed Woman and Liv’s relationship possibly blossoms.
Em’s Spirit Guides
A Masculine Cloud
Em has two Spirit Guides at the moment and one is relatively new to her actually! Her main Spirit Guide looks like a cloud creature and is able to take the shape of other things in order to be exactly what she needs at any given moment. According to Liv and confirmed by Em, her cloud guide blankets or shrouds Em in a comforting embrace to soothe her bouts of anxiety and protect her from stressful situations. She even claims to feel his energy around her. She says it is similar to wearing a big heavy coat, but she never realized that was him until first hearing about him. He has been present since her early childhood, most prominently aiding Em’s journey as she started school. He guides Em today and is very persistent in his masculinity according to what he communicates to Liv. To find out his name, tune into Meta Psyckick’s podcast episode about Spirit Guides. It’s pretty wild.
An Organizational Woman
As for Em’s second Spirit Guide, she has only made herself known in the past few months. She showed herself to Liv in order to help Em with a slight dimensional trickster and has only been creating a strong connection with Em since. This guide of Em’s presents herself as a stern woman to Liv and more of a support system to Em, helping to guide Em’s thought processes in the right direction. Em is a very analytical thinker and her guide provides information in a similar way through thoughts that Em claims are very clearly not her own. You see Em thinks with an inner monologue while her guide gives her an understanding through thoughts. There is no telling if Em may have more Spirit Guides come to play a part in her life’s journey as she ages, but the one thing is for sure, she has quite the pair now.
