River’s Reading: The Inside Scoop of Being a Pet Psychic
Being a Pet Psychic and A Human
This week, Em and I traveled to our friend Janelle’s house where I was lucky enough to put my psychic abilities to the test and listen to what her adorable dog, River had to say! I feel bad to say that I had wrongly formed some slightly negative predisposed notions towards lovely River. For some reason, through only pictures, my egotistical mind pinned River as possibly unruly and hyper. I was entirely wrong.
You may be wondering why I am including this information in this week’s blog, and the answer is simple. Before I move on to writing about my pet psychic abilities as a psychic medium and blah, blah, blah, I wish to express how as a psychic medium, I am still bound to my human nature and my ego. As Em and I progress with our business dreams for Meta Psyckicks, I do not want to lead people to believe I am anything more than a normal person. I may be able to receive unexplainable information from the dead and hear what animals think, but I am never always right. As a psychic medium, I am here to use my gifts to help others as much as I can and that is just what Em and I plan to do. Moving along…
Trying Not To Let My Ego Get In The Way
As soon as I walked into Janelle’s home, Em and I were greeted by River. Tail wagging, her sweet eyes went back and forth from Em to me and back to Janelle. Surprisingly to me, River wasn’t really barking, but there was a giant ruckus from other dogs. It turned out that Janelle’s roommate had two other creatures who were the culprits of the unyielding noise.
As I bent down to pet River, she immediately began sharing what was on her mind. As a mental medium, I receive information via thoughts, feelings, and emotions that I’ve come to recognize as not my own. Besides the feeling of happiness from River, she began showing me the traits that her treats have. Brown, crunchy, dry, small, frequently given to her. As I was processing this information and petting River, she turned and looked towards a stack of various pet care essentials on top of a table near us. There sat a large box of dog biscuits, Milk Bones to be exact. The source of her information for me.
As I processed this information, River moved to greet Em again. As Em bent down to pet River’s head, River said, “I know her. I’ve seen her before.” I know I say this as if River has an inner monologue, but I want to be clear that I don’t receive voices or inner dialogue from animals. The way I receive what they have to share is through a very fast presentation of thoughts, feelings, emotions, and images. In this instance, my ego got in the way, and I thought to myself, “Emily has never met River before so River must be telling me that she has met someone that has looked like Emily before.” So when I looked up to Emily and Janelle and said that River was saying that she had seen someone like Em before, Em laughed and said, “Well she has. I met River when she was a puppy.” At that moment, I felt a little silly. Instead of just relying on the information that River had given to me exactly as she had presented it, I let my ego interfere and trick me into thinking that I was right to think that Em had never met River; in fact, River told me she had. From there on, I tried to listen without my ego interfering to let the information River was telling me to be translated directly to Janelle and Em just as River told me.
River’s Happy Life
River went on to tell me how she and Janelle sleep together at night. Showing me that Janelle keeps a ton of blankets on her bed for her to lay on. She added that she wishes Janelle would cover her up with the blankets too.
Slowly, I let my mind wander to the other dogs who were still barking from their separate room. River noticed this and began telling me about them. She shared that they tell her about the walks their owner takes them on. But she expressed how she doesn’t really mind that she doesn’t go on walks as often as them. She understands that her owner works a lot and is happily content with her fenced-in backyard and giant tree she enjoys chewing on.
She continued to share with me that because her owner works a lot and is often tired, she enjoys their movie nights and showed me her favorite show, Supernatural, that she and Janelle had watched a few months prior.
River shared how she likes going to Janelle’s parents’ house and grandmother’s house to visit. Mostly because of all the love, attention, and treats she receives. She told me about how she knows she is going to Janelle’s families’ homes because Janelle verbally tells her. She expressed it was important to tell Janelle that she knows she is going to those places and is happy to stay there.
River shared with me her fondness of one of Janelle’s friend’s dog’s name Leo and for the first time as a pet psychic, River shared with me a smell. Not only of Leo, her doggie friend but of Emily’s boots after she had taken them off.
Being able to listen to what River had to share about her life was an amazing experience and time for me to learn and better understand my pet psychic abilities. I have only been able to listen to what animals have to share for less than a year. But as a psychic medium, my gifts and abilities are always changing, and I am growing to understand them more and more every day and with each reading, I am able to do.
