Does Heaven and Hell Exist?

Have you ever wondered what happens after you die? Well, Liv’s beliefs on this topic are based on her communication with Spirit. On the other hand, Em was raised Catholic. So her beliefs coupled with her analytical Virgo brain, have allowed her to draw her own conclusions. So grab a pencil and paper and get ready for this brain-bending blog entry where Em and Liv share their ideas on Heaven and Hell, answering the question of,

“Where do we go when we die?”

Liv’s Ideas

As a mental medium, I have a door within my mind’s eye that my Blue Man Dude Spirit Guide stands by. The space within my consciousness that I receive spiritual information from is a dark room to the right of myself where my door is located. My door essentially functions as a barrier between me and spirits that wish to communicate with me. Again, this area within my mind’s eye is dark and black to be precise. And when I say a door, I mean it literally, just imagine a plain door. But when I open my door to receive information from Spirit, the space on the other side is bright white. I perceive this as the “White Light of God”. So any spirit who provides me information regarding someone in the physical world from this space on the other side of my door, I regard as coming from the space in which God exists. I am not a very religious person, but I would equate the space on the other side of my door to be Heaven.

Heaven a Parallel Universe

As a psychic medium, I have been able to communicate with quite a few spirits and from what they have shown me, a place does exist after death, where all souls, human and animal, go to either enjoy their afterlife or choose to reincarnate and ascend back to Earth to live another physical life. When listening to spirits that have crossed over, I physically feel them slightly above and to the right of my body. This leads me to believe that the plane of existence in which they reside may run parallel to and above our own. I share a few medium stories in the video and podcast Em and I made on this topic, so please watch and listen to those for more information!

Em’s Ideas

So, before we get into what I believe happens to you when you die, I need to explain different dimensions because… I believe our souls go to a different dimension…. Kind of. Let me explain.

Stacking Dimensional Perceptions

So, imagine a piece of paper, and there is a stick figure on the piece of paper. This paper has 2 dimensions, length and width, while our bodies are 3-dimensional with length, width, and depth. Now, because our bodies are 3-dimensional objects with depth, we have the ability to step back and view the entire piece of paper with the figure drawn on it. We can know and see just about everything regarding the piece of paper. However, the stick figure can only view us if we are in the same plane of existence. So, we would need to be touching the piece of paper, but they would not be able to see us in the same way. They would see one dimension of us, similar to how a 3-dimensional being sees in 2 dimensions. For example, If you are touching the piece of paper, they would be able to see the part of your hand touching the paper but nothing else. Make sense? Let’s keep building on this idea.

The physical world is a 3-dimensional world, but what I believe is that the spirit world is a 4th-dimensional place. Because of its 4 dimensional existence, things within it can engage in similar interactions to how we can perceive the stick figure’s existence. Many times, people will see ghosts or catch them on camera, but they tend to be translucent or foggy. That may be because the spirits are interacting within the same plane of existence as our 3-dimensional world making them appear to us in a 2-dimensional form. Additionally, they have the ability to “step back” and view our 3-dimensional world in its entirety, but we cannot see them unless they choose to reside wholly in our space. Now you are probably wondering why Liv, being a psychic medium can see them. Well, let me explain further…

Let us go back to the paper example. Imagine you have a 2-dimensional piece of paper, and you tape a 3-dimensional ball to it. This attaches the two together forcing them to exist in the same space. I understand this may be a very vague example, but this kind of explains how our consciousness attaches to our body. Try to imagine this… Our consciousness is a 4-dimensional entity attaching itself to a 3-dimensional body. So if our soul/consciousness is a 4th-dimensional entity, but infuses itself into our physical, 3-dimensional bodies, then this makes us multidimensional beings. Now, how does this all relate to mediumship?

Multidimensional Beings

Since I believe we are multidimensional beings, we can interact with the 4th dimension. Remember the ball and paper example?  When you attach the ball to the piece of paper, this allows the piece of paper to extend to the 3rd dimension. The same idea applies to us, but we are facing the 3-dimensional world making us unaware of what is behind us. To give you a visual, It would be like taping a piece of paper to your face. All you see is the piece of paper or the “2-dimensional world”; however, would you notice if someone was walking behind you? I would say most of us would explain that feeling away, especially if this 2-dimensional world was all we knew. But there are those odd few that would question that feeling. That’s where Liv’s mediumship comes in.

Breaking Conscious Attachment

Now that we have gotten that out of the way, let us go into what I think happens when we die. The Law of Thermodynamics states that energy cannot be created nor destroyed; it can only be converted. It is also believed that when you die, your physical energy and existence dissipates into your physical surroundings due to entropy.

That is all good and well but here’s what I believe actually happens. When you die, you are breaking your consciousness’s attachment to your body (or removing the ball from the piece of paper), and returning to the dimension from where your consciousness came from i.e. the 4th dimension.

Before your return, you meet up with your Spirit Guides and the other beings that have helped you cross over. At this point, you will get all your memories back from your past lives and experiences. And you will go over everything you did in your life on Earth and how it spiritually affected you.

Karma, Soul Contracts, and Reincarnation

If you did not already know, before you were born you agreed to something called a Soul Contract outlining what you were planning on doing on Earth and who was going to aid or hinder your physical life. And usually, your decision of ascending to Earth is to experience a life that will help balance your existence. This balance is called Karma. Karma is a cause and effect idea meaning whatever you put into the universe (thoughts, feelings, actions, etc.)  will return to you. Liv explains a very good example of this in one of our YouTube videos. Click HERE to hear the story of the reincarnated dog! However, this is what you are evaluating before deciding if you wish to return to the spirit realm or if you want to reincarnate on Earth.

Raised Catholic With Lots of Questions

Now I was raised Catholic, and at about 8 years old, I started questioning things. But It seemed like no one could answer my questions. I was wondering how a being could be all-knowing, all-good, and all-powerful. And it wasn’t until high school when a teacher opened my mind up to the possibility of us being apart of God’s dream.

This would make a lot of sense, right? This would explain how God is everywhere at once and why bad things happen to good people. It’s because, in your dreams, you do not have direct control.

Created in God’s Image

Now I do not necessarily believe that this is God’s dream, but instead, we are literally a part of him just as a cell is apart of our bodies! This would explain how we are made in the image and likeness of God, and how God is an almighty being. He does not control his own self but has created the law in which governs it. So bad things do not happen because of God, rather because we and other external factors choose or cause them to happen.

Now because I was raised Catholic, I understand the idea of Heaven and Hell as the good place and the bad place. However, how this relates to what I believe now is a little confusing. I believe that there are many other dimensions all vibrating at different frequencies. The best way for me to explain this is with the concept of a rainbow.

Dimensional Rainbow Theory

Colors are our perception of different frequencies bouncing off of objects. And if you know the colors of a rainbow, red is shown on the bottom of the rainbow. This is because red has a lower vibrational frequency than the rest of the colors. At the very top of the rainbow, is blue and purple which have higher frequencies. I believe that dimensions stack themselves just like this. The lower vibrational dimensions are at the bottom and the higher vibrational dimensions are at the top.

Many perceive the lower vibrational dimensions as Hell while the higher vibrational dimensions are perceived as Heaven. But what I find most interesting is other individual’s perception of where these places may be. One of the most natural shapes in our universe is a circle to which a rainbow actually follows as well. So, if Earth is its own dimension in the theoretical rainbow of dimensions, then Hell would be down in the direction of the Earth’s core and Heaven would be like a ring around the Earth towards the sky.

However, I do not necessarily believe that these places are Heaven and Hell or are places we are judged to go.  I do not even believe in good and evil. I believe that we return to the place that matches the frequency of our consciousness.

Hell is Not a Place But a State of Mind

But because we have this strong belief in Heaven and Hell, many people who believe they are bad people deserving of going to Hell, will actually manifest a Hellish reality after they die, but it is their choice, and they can move away from it. They have either consciously or subconsciously lowered their consciousness’s frequency to reside within that frequency and space. So, I believe Heaven and  Hell are a state of mind rather than a place.
