Lessons from Spirit: Moments in Time & True Happiness
Will We Ever Experience True Happiness?
Lost in a Sea of Generality
Often people ask me what it is like to be a psychic medium. What my favorite part about communicating with souls is. I feel that as with many things in our lives I answer these questions with my ego. Many times remembering more superficial things. Such as the general sense of happiness I feel communicating with living animals during pet readings or the funny things a past relative may have said to their living loved ones during a medium reading. But I feel like the most important things in life, the most influential and pivotal moments can be lost in a sea of generality.
Little Bits & Pieces
In my opinion, the most important things in life are made up of a lot of little bits and pieces of time all amounting to something greater. Take a moment. Think back on a momentous time in your life such as graduating college, your first child being born, or your wedding day. If someone were to ask you about your favorite thing about that day, what would you say?
Something Greater
Now, when asked about that “something greater”, that momentous time in our lives, I feel we often forget those little bits and pieces of time which create these important memories. Instead choosing to quantify this time by characterizing it with a sea of generality. For example, choosing to answer these questions by saying things like, “I was so excited to finally graduate college because it seemed to take so long and was really hard. Now I finally get to find a job doing something I like.” Or “The best part of my wedding day was marrying the person I love.”
Forgotten Ingredients
These answers makes sense because if we equate the things we experience in life as ingredients to a recipe, when asked about what our favorite things are regarding the cake of our lives (i.e. the general sensations of these events), we may answer by talking about its sweet flavor. However what we forget is what gave our cake its honeyed flavor in the first place. The specific ingredients or pieces of a moment in time that allowed an aspect of our lives to be so good. Being able to identify these little moments is something I finally learned how to do just a few days ago.
Life Changes
Because my husband and I are now expecting our 1st child I have had to adjust my availability for private psychic medium readings. Which has affected who of our lovely psyckicks can schedule readings with me. This change has spurred me to begin offering psychic medium email readings. A shorter and more affordable version of my private zoom readings. Allowing me to accommodate more of our lovely followers while also trying to cope with the new changes in my life and with my body.
Pregnancy is wild my dudes!.
Confidence Issues
I have been so nervous about offering this service because it is something I have never done before. I have a lack of confidence in my abilities which I struggle with daily. After 2 years or so of offering private zoom readings with people, I have learned that Spirit will always validate my abilities during a reading. Meeting with all of our lovely supporters and communicating with their passed loved ones face to face remotely, has continuously taught me so many wonderful things and has allowed me to gain more confidence in my abilities as a medium.
Less is More
However, taking away the 2-sided conversations between the people I meet with and Spirit during an email reading seemed like a daunting task. But since then I have learned that offering these readings has given me something that physically talking to another person during a personal conversation has clouded. Being able to stop, write down, and process the most influential and pivotal moments from Spirit which can be lost in a sea of conversation.
A Gandhi Level Question
A few days ago I was answering a lovely psyckick’s psychic medium email reading and one of their questions truly caught me off guard. They asked me if they are on the right path for their life? And if will they ever feel true happiness? As a psychic medium I thought to myself, “I communicate with dead people. How am I supposed to answer this Gandhi level question?” It did not seem like a question I was qualified to answer as a person, let alone a medium. However, as a medium I was communicating with this lovely individual’s spirit guides and passed loved ones all throughout their email reading. When I began losing confidence over this question, feeling I had no place nor resources to answer it, a female soul associated with this kind person stepped forward and conveyed the following information to answer their question.
A Gandhi Level Answer
“You have, are, and will, experience true happiness. The fact that you have felt true happiness is a testament to this statement. The reason you question whether you will ever truly feel happy is because you have been given an unrealistic idea of happiness itself. This being that "true happiness" is a never ending feeling. This is simply incorrect. The act of life, of living, is not a constant steady stream. Life works with the ebb and flow of existence itself. To understand that you currently are, have, and will feel truly happy begins by first understanding that true happiness is not a constant but something you experience along with the tides of life.”
Alone & Thoughtful
Now because I was sitting alone in my office at home with no 2-way banter between this person and the soul who conveyed this information to me, I was able to slowly and thoughtfully process what was being communicated to me by this soul. And what a gift this little bit of information was.
We’re All Wondering The Same Thing
I, like the lovely psyckick here who asked this question, have been struggling with the same thought myself. Being a new wife, expecting my husband and myself’s first child, owning a business as a content creator and psychic medium, being a friend to others, a dog and cat mom, a daughter and sister, and so much more to others I may not even realize makes a person ask themselves, “Am I on the right path? Will I ever experience true happiness doing all of these things?” And on my own, I don’t think I would have ever realized what this soul had shared with me.
Sugar & Spice & The Meaning of Life…or At Least Happiness
Reading what this soul had made me type, “…true happiness is not a constant but something you experience along with the tides of life.” Made me realize that experiencing true happiness is not one big flavor of the cake we make out of our existence. It is the sugar, the honey, the molasses. All of those little bits and pieces, the overlooked ingredients or moments in time which we slowly experience, that creates the sensation of true happiness in our lives.
My Favorite Part
Now, when someone asks me what my favorite part about being a psychic medium is, I will tell them that it is the little bits and pieces of information from readings like this. Where beautiful souls who are helping to guide their living counterparts in turn give me a gift of enlightenment I would not have otherwise known.
What Do You Think?
Now that you’ve read the enlightening information these two beautiful souls (both the lovely psyckick who asked this question and their spiritual counterpart who answered it) have given us, what is your favorite part(s) about a momentous moment in your life. Or how about your favorite part of just this morning? When was the last time you experienced true happiness?
A Little Present For You
Since I am a corny human I would like to bring this blog post to a close with a Kung Fu Panda quote from the character of Master Oogway. “Yesterday is history, Tomorrow is a mystery, but Today is a gift. That is why it is called the Present.”
